Yin Yoga & Meditation
50-hr accredited course

October 25th – 31st, 2025

The physiological, energetic and psychological benefits of this slow, introspective style of yoga are powerful to experience and fascinating to study. On this course, we’ll explore how Yin works on body and mind and how the practice draws from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Taoist principles and the Hatha Yoga tradition. Whether it’s to enhance your personal practice or to extend your teaching repertoire by offering Yin classes, perhaps alongside your more dynamic (or Yang) style of class, the course will help you develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to practise and teach Yin safely, creatively and with authenticity. You will also learn more about the benefits of a regular meditation practice and techniques for developing your own practice or introducing meditation to your students. As well as refreshing your general teaching skills in terms of holding space, finding your voice, being present for your students and more, the training will cover:

  • The history and philosophy of Yin Yoga
  • The energetic concepts of Meridians and Chakras and movement of Qi (or Prana) in the body
  • The physical and emotional benefits of Yin Yoga
  • Yin Yoga poses and how to modify (or provide alternatives) for the individual body
  • Sequencing a Yin practice according to the principles of Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), as well as alternative ways to sequence.
  • How Yin complements a dynamic practice (Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow etc.)
  • Medititation: the how-to and the science behind the benefits of a regular meditation practice

The training is suitable for Yoga teachers and practitioners who wish to deepen their Yin practice. Studying with a small group can enhance the learning experience and ensures very personal, one-to-one attention attention. 7 places only.
